Here's what a full rooftop package unit replacement looks like from start to finish. We were dealing with an aging York unit that had run its course. Getting it off the roof required a crane lift - and that's exactly how we did it. Watching a full rooftop unit get hoisted into the air is a reminder of just how much work goes into these jobs when they're done right.

Once the old York was out, we didn't just drop a new unit in place. The curb adapter had to be prepped and fitted correctly before the new Lennox 2 Ton Package Unit ever touched the roof. That prep work matters a lot. A sloppy curb fit means air leaks, moisture problems, and a unit that's fighting itself from day one. We took our time on that part.

Then came the new Lennox. Same crane, same process - lifted up and set into position on the freshly prepped curb. Lennox package units are a solid choice for rooftop applications. They're built for efficiency, they hold up in tough climates, and the all-in-one design keeps the installation clean. Everything - heating, cooling, air handling - is in one cabinet on the roof.

This kind of HVAC installation isn't just a swap. It's a process that involves disconnecting and reconnecting electrical, handling refrigerant properly, fitting the ductwork connection at the curb, and making sure the condensate drainage is routed correctly. Cut corners on any of those steps and you'll know about it sooner rather than later. We don't cut corners.

Rooftop package units are common in the Southwest, especially on flat-roof homes and commercial buildings. If yours is getting old, struggling to keep up, or has already given out - a full replacement with a quality unit like the Lennox is often the most cost-effective long-term move.
