Lennox 3-Ton Split Heat Pump Install Done Right

We just wrapped up a full Lennox 3-ton split heat pump installation, and this one came together really well. Heat pumps are one of those systems where the quality of the install matters just as much as the equipment itself. A sloppy install on a premium unit will still underperform. We don't let that happen.

Here's the thing about split heat pump systems - there are two major components that both have to be set up correctly. The outdoor condenser unit needs to be properly positioned, leveled, and connected. The indoor air handler has to be seated clean with the refrigerant lines, condensate drain, and electrical all run the right way. Both sides of this install got the same level of attention.

The indoor air handler closet tells the real story on an install like this. The refrigerant lines are properly insulated and routed, the condensate drain is set up with a safety float switch - that little red float you can see - and the wiring is organized. That's not flashy work, but it's exactly what keeps a system running reliably for years without surprise service calls.

On top of the comfort side, a properly installed heat pump is a genuinely efficient way to heat and cool a home. Because it moves heat rather than generating it, you get solid performance across seasons.
